Erin’s Summer Tips

Rosary walks – Get out in nature, get some exercise and pray with Our Lady!  Two birds, one stone!

Easy Breakfast:  Cottage cheese, cut up cucumbers and tomatoes, olive oil and flaky salt.  It’s sooooooo good!

Stay Hydrated!  Summer drinks on the patio or by the pool!

·       Hibiscus Sun Tea over ice.

·       The best electrolytes:  LMNT

  • Make a ginger / lime shot in a jar in frig and add to bubbly water on ice with salt rim.

    • In a small pot simmer for 5 minutes water with sliced peeled ginger

      • Once done put ginger in high-speed blender.

    • Add lime (peeled but you can leave a little on if it's organic)

    • Add apple cider vinegar

    • Add water.

    • Blend and pour into a jar or two and store in refrigerator.

  • Bubbly water with a shot of kombucha and 2 tsp apple cider vinegar add a squeeze of lemon.

  • Really great alcohol alternative: Little Saints Plant Magic Mocktails

Big salad dinners:

·       Grill up your favorite meat and chop a bunch of veggies.  Everyone can create their own salad!  A great way to clean out the fridge as well.

Have veggies and fruit cut up and, in the fridge, ready for snacks.  These containers are great for keeping fruit fresh longer: Food Storage Containers  (I don’t love the plastic, but they work really well)

Let your Crockpot do the work:  Here are some great summer recipes that are easy and cook while you are summering.  Summer Slow Cooker
